Administrator command execution via unchecked compression level
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Command injection in BoldGrid Total Upkeep 1.16.10 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through backup settings. The settings handler accepts an unchecked compression_level value, and the system ZIP compressor concatenates it after zip - in a shell command executed through proc_open. Administrator-level WordPress access and a system ZIP execution path are required; successful injection runs commands with the web server's privileges.
