Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in TubePress.NET 4.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via forged settings updates. The disclosure identifies missing or incorrect nonce validation in a settings-handling function but does not publish the function name, allowing forged requests to save attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires an administrator to open or submit attacker-controlled content; the saved script then executes in a browser under the affected site's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
