Stored script injection via forged settings update
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in bnielsen Affiliate Disclosure Statement 0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts. The plugin's settings-update handler accepts state-changing requests without nonce validation and stores attacker-supplied script content. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit a crafted page or follow a link; the injected script executes when the stored disclosure is rendered.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
