Session impersonation via unencoded snippet output

Cross-site scripting in affected GitLab releases allows remote authenticated users to act in a snippet viewer's session. The snippet viewer fails to encode attacker-controlled output before inserting it into a rendered page, but GitLab has not disclosed the exact rendering function or encoding path. A low-privileged account must plant the content and a legitimate user must view it; the resulting script receives that viewer's browser-session authority.
