Private post title disclosure via public AJAX action
Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in Easy Digital Downloads 3.3.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read private download post titles. The public WordPress AJAX action passes an attacker-supplied post identifier to edd_ajax_get_download_title(), which returns the corresponding title without checking visibility or authorization. No account or user interaction is required, but the consequence is limited to private post-title disclosure rather than post-content access.
