Database administrative access via exposed connection string
Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Plaintext credential storage in Eaton Foreseer Reporting Services before 1.5.100 allows local users to obtain 4crXref administrative access. FRS exposes a database connection string to users who can access the FRSCore database on the reporting VM, and 4crXref accepts its credentials. Access to FRSCore requires high local privileges; the exposed credential grants administrative control over 4crXref data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
