Improper authentication in Dell Storage Manager before 2020 R1.21 allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to gain elevated privileges. Dell identifies the issue only as proprietary-code improper authentication and has not disclosed the affected endpoint, authentication check, or request-handling error. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the attacker must have adjacent-network access to reach the vulnerable service.
