Local privilege escalation via post-send buffer logging
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Use-after-free in Android 15's Bluetooth stack allows local users to execute arbitrary code and elevate privileges without user interaction. Across multiple Bluetooth stack error paths, code logs packet-buffer fields after L2CA_DataWrite can release the underlying object. No existing execution privileges are required; successful exploitation can compromise the affected device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
