Local privilege escalation via freed Bluetooth structures
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Use-after-free in Android 15's Bluetooth stack allows local users to execute arbitrary code and elevate privileges without interaction. Logging statements in multiple Fluoride stack paths read structures or lengths after preceding calls can free those objects. A local foothold requires no additional execution privileges, and successful exploitation permits code execution with elevated Android privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
