Local privilege escalation via freed Bluetooth buffer logging
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Use-after-free in Google Cloud Android 15 Bluetooth allows local users to execute arbitrary code without user interaction. In avct_lcb_msg_ind, L2CA_DataWrite can release the outgoing buffer before failure logging dereferences its len field; the patch caches the length first. Exploitation requires local access but no additional execution privileges, and successful code execution elevates privileges on the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
