Remote code execution via freed SDP message logging
Published Aug 26, 2025 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Use-after-free in Android 15 Bluetooth SDP allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted service-discovery exchange. After L2CA_DataWrite can free its message buffer, sdp_snd_service_search_req logs p_cmd->len from that released buffer instead of a locally derived length. Exploitation requires no authentication, additional execution privileges, or user interaction and compromises the affected Bluetooth service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
