CVE-2025-22394

Local code execution via TOCTOU race

Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025

TOCTOU race condition in Dell Display Manager before 2.3.2.20 allows local users to execute code, with privilege escalation also reported. Dell has not disclosed the affected code locus, the checked resource, or the operation that later uses it, so the race mechanism is not publicly characterized beyond the TOCTOU class. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, high-complexity race timing, and user interaction; successful exploitation executes code and can raise privileges.
