HTML email injection via unsanitized contact-form input
Published Jan 4, 2025 · Updated Jan 6, 2025
HTML injection in Optimizely Configured Commerce before 5.2.2408 allows remote attackers to send crafted email through its contact form. The contact-form handler places user-provided markup into outgoing messages without sanitizing it, so email clients render the input as HTML instead of text. A recipient must open the message and interact with its rendered content for the reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
