Terminal data disclosure via readable SSH log
Published Jan 3, 2025 · Updated Jan 3, 2025
Information disclosure in iTerm2 3.5.6 through 3.5.10 allows remote attackers to read terminal input and output from /tmp/framer.txt. SSH Integration logging writes terminal traffic to that file on the remote host without preventing other local accounts from reading it. Exposure requires it2ssh or profile-based SSH Integration and Python 3.7 or later in the remote host's default search path.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
