Authorization bypass in VMware Salt 3006.0 through 3006.11 and 3007.0 through 3007.3 allows local users to execute jobs on other minions. The vendor identifies the minion event bus as the affected mechanism but has not published the code locus or exact missing authorization check. Exploitation requires possession of a valid minion key and grants cross-minion job execution, exposing data and permitting changes or service interruption on targeted minions.
