Arbitrary SQL execution via ordering parameter
Published Feb 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 4, 2025
SQL injection in JoomShopping 1.0.0 through 1.4.3 allows attackers with administrator access to execute arbitrary SQL commands in the backend. The country-management save handler incorporates the POST ordering parameter into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean-, error-, and time-based injection. An authenticated Joomla administrator must submit a crafted country record; successful exploitation can enumerate application databases and read or alter stored data.
