Database disclosure via unprepared user_phone query
Published Mar 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Time-based SQL injection in WPCOM Member 1.7.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract sensitive database data via user_phone. The session query in includes/class-sesstion.php incorporates user_phone without sufficient escaping or a prepared SQL statement. The unauthenticated login AJAX interface supplies the input path, and exploitation can read database contents through a timing oracle.
