Remote code execution via alternate PHP tag parsing
Published Feb 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Code injection in Regular Labs Sourcerer before 12.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute PHP through crafted alternative tag syntax. The content parser accepts double-bracket PHP and HTML forms as executable Sourcerer input instead of treating those forms as inert text. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled content to reach the enabled system plugin, after which injected PHP runs with the Joomla web process's access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
