CVE-2025-22167Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file write via path traversal

Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025

Path traversal in Atlassian Jira Software Data Center and Server allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary server files. Atlassian has not published the affected endpoint or code locus; the disclosed operation accepts a path that escapes its intended directory and writes through Jira's JVM account. A low-privilege account and network access are required, and successful exploitation can alter data or interrupt service within that account's filesystem permissions.
