CVE-2025-22157Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked subtask permissions

Published May 20, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Authorization bypass in Atlassian Jira Core and Jira Service Management affected releases allows remote authenticated users to gain privileges. The Print and Export Word paths include restricted subtasks' titles and links when exporting a visible parent issue without enforcing each subtask's view permission. Any user able to export the parent can learn otherwise hidden subtask metadata, while Atlassian has not disclosed additional higher-privilege actions.
