Script execution via unneutralized Wireless Menu SSID
Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Cross-site scripting in CastleNet CBW383G2N 20250301 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The Wireless Menu processing in /wlanPrimaryNetwork.asp places the SSID value into page output without neutralizing markup, allowing an image onerror handler to execute. High-privilege access is required to submit the SSID, and another user must load the affected page; the script can alter content in that browser.
