CVE-2025-22128

Local service interruption via stale IRQ affinity

Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026

Availability flaw in ath12k in Linux 6.8 through 6.12.34 and 6.13 through 6.14.1 allows local users to interrupt service. The ath12k_pci error cleanup calls ath12k_pci_free_irq() while a shared IRQ still retains its affinity hint, causing the IRQ core to issue a warning. Reachability requires an ath12k device using a platform-limited shared IRQ and a failure while requesting one of the driver interrupts.
