Kernel resource corruption via spufs lifetime errors

Memory-management errors in affected Linux spufs releases allow local users to cause kernel confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. spufs calls simple_rmdir() after a failed gang-directory open without a balanced dentry reference and fails to reverse the root link-count increment after successful gang destruction. Reachability requires a PowerPC Cell system with spufs mounted and write permission to create a gang and retain a context while closing it.
