CVE-2025-22067

Kernel compromise via clock-divider array overrun

Published Apr 16, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026

Improper array-index validation in Linux allows local users to compromise the kernel via an oversized Marvell xSPI clock request. The cdns_mrvl_xspi_setup_clock function walks cdns_mrvl_xspi_clk_div_list until a divider meets requested_clk, but values above 128 exhaust the array and leave its index out of bounds. Reachability requires the Marvell xSPI overlay path and low-privilege local access; successful exploitation can expose or alter kernel memory or interrupt the system.
