CVE-2025-2196Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via unescaped upload path

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Mar 11, 2025

Cross-site scripting in MRCMS 3.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted upload path. The FileController upload method converts the path parameter's encoding but returns it without filtering malicious markup or applying HTML entity encoding. Exploitation requires access to the administrative upload endpoint and a victim who clicks the crafted URL; script execution in that user's browser can expose login credentials.
