Local denial of service via stale debugfs pointer
Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel MANA driver in 6.13 allows local users to crash a MANA VM during hibernation. The resume error path leaves mana_port_debugfs pointing to a removed debugfs dentry, and shutdown passes that stale pointer to debugfs_remove. Triggering the crash requires local low-privileged access, a MANA-backed VM hibernation cycle, and a failure while recreating the hardware communication channel.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
