CVE-2025-21952

Local kernel panic via interrupt-context mutex lock

Published Apr 1, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026

Denial of service in Linux 6.13 through 6.13.6 allows local users to panic the kernel through a Corsair Void receiver event. The corsair_void_process_receiver handler acquires battery_mutex while running in interrupt context, where sleeping locks are invalid. Reaching the fault requires the corsair-void HID driver to process a receiver event; the result is a host crash without reported data exposure or modification.
