Local service interruption via malformed regulatory hint

Input validation error in Linux cfg80211 allows local users to interrupt service by submitting a malformed regulatory-domain hint. is_an_alpha2 accepts non-Latin letters, after which queue_regulatory_request applies toupper and corrupts the stored alpha2 value before restoration. Low-privilege local access is required; the resulting warning can panic systems configured to panic on warnings, interrupting availability.
