Kernel warnings via mutex-induced rescheduling
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Interrupt-state mishandling in Linux 6.2 and later allows local users to trigger kernel warnings during LoongArch S3 suspend. The enable_gpe_wakeup() path calls a mutex-protected ACPI helper whose lock acquisition can reschedule, leaving interrupts enabled after the function returns. Reachability requires a LoongArch system entering S3; the published record reports warnings, while panic-on-warning configurations can turn a warning into a kernel panic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
