Local denial of service via double list insertion
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Denial of service in the Linux kernel 6.13 rtw89 driver allows local users to crash the host during a failed WoWLAN resume. When rtw89_ops_add_interface() runs again without prior interface removal, it reinitializes a still-linked mgnt_entry and list_add_tail() inserts it twice, defeating the list-empty guard. Local access, affected rtw89 hardware, and a WoWLAN-disable failure are required; the resulting list corruption reaches a kernel BUG and interrupts the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
