Cross-site scripting via unescaped invalid page names
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Cross-site scripting in TabberNeue before 2.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in another user's browser via crafted wikitext. TabberTransclude.php inserts a user-supplied invalid page name directly into an HTML error div without escaping it. An attacker must cause another user to render the wikitext by viewing an editable page or opening a crafted Special:ExpandTemplates link, enabling script execution in that user's wiki session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
