Script execution via stored desktop UI content

Published Apr 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 23, 2026

Stored XSS in M-Files Admin before 25.3.14681.7 allows local users to execute scripts through its Windows desktop UI. M-Files has not disclosed which Admin UI field stores attacker-controlled content or how the interface renders that content without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires either a locally authenticated user with high operating-system privileges or shared operating-system login credentials, and execution requires active interaction in the UI.
