Authenticated database server hang or crash
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server's DDL component allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang the database server. Oracle has not disclosed the faulty DDL operation or the input pattern that triggers the availability failure. Exploitation requires high database privileges and network access through a supported protocol; affected releases are 8.0.0 through 8.0.41, 8.4.0 through 8.4.4, and 9.0.0 through 9.2.0.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.0.41
