Service interruption through undisclosed options flaw
Published Apr 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server allows remote authenticated users to hang or repeatedly crash the database server over a network. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as Server: Options and has not published the option-processing operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires a high-privilege account, and the documented consequence is limited to service availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.0.41
- Affected versionversion=8.4.0 <=8.4.4
- Affected versionversion=9.0.0 <=9.2.0
