CVE-2025-21476

Local code execution via unchecked handshake parameters

Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025

Buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon Trusted VM handshakes allows local users to corrupt memory through oversized parameter data. During the handshake, parameter-passing code copies attacker-controlled input into a buffer without checking its size. The flaw requires low-privilege local access and no user interaction, and successful corruption enables code execution in the affected firmware context.
