Memory corruption via oversized IOCTL buffer
Published May 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Qualcomm Snapdragon Computer Vision on affected chipsets allows local users to corrupt memory through an IOCTL request. The IOCTL handler processes an input buffer that significantly exceeds the command argument limit instead of rejecting the oversized length. Low-privileged local access is required; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability within the component.
