CVE-2025-21458

Memory corruption via concurrent buffer map and unmap

Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Use-after-free in the NPU driver for Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms allows local users to corrupt memory through concurrent buffer operations. The IOCTL interface maps and unmaps the same buffers simultaneously, releasing memory while another operation still uses it. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on an affected device.
