Memory corruption via board-data IOCTL write
Published Apr 7, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Qualcomm Snapdragon WLAN Host allows local users to corrupt memory through a board-data IOCTL request. The WLAN driver processes a user-space request to write board data and writes beyond the intended buffer; Qualcomm has not disclosed the exact routine or missing bounds check. Low-privileged local access is required, but Qualcomm has not disclosed whether exploitation causes code execution, data access, or a crash.
