CVE-2025-2140

Authenticated email sender spoofing via unverified source data

Published Oct 12, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Email spoofing in IBM Requirements Management DOORS Next 7.0.2, 7.0.3, and 7.1 allows remote authenticated users to impersonate senders. IBM attributes the flaw to improper verification of source data but has not identified the affected email-generation locus or the value whose origin is trusted. An existing account and network access are required; successful abuse misrepresents the message sender without disclosing data or interrupting service.
