CVE-2025-21362

Code execution via use-after-free memory access

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2026

Use-after-free in Microsoft Excel allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via content processed on the local system. Microsoft identifies freed-object reuse in Excel but has not disclosed the affected parser, object lifetime error, or content element that triggers it. No privileges or user interaction are required once local processing begins, and successful exploitation executes code in the affected process.
