Authentication-material disclosure via NTLM spoofing
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
NTLM spoofing in Microsoft Windows allows remote attackers to disclose authentication material after required user interaction. Microsoft identifies the affected locus only as Windows NTLM and has not published the triggering input or the protection operation that mishandles it. Successful exploitation exposes authentication material but does not alter data or interrupt service; a user must interact with attacker-controlled content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
