CVE-2025-21198

Authenticated cross-cluster code execution via crafted HTTPS request

Published Feb 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Missing authentication in Microsoft HPC Pack 2016 and 2019 allows remote authenticated users to execute code across connected clusters. The head-node HTTPS interface accepts a crafted request without enforcing authentication for the critical scheduler operation it reaches. Access to the private cluster network and low-privilege credentials are required; successful exploitation reaches other clusters or nodes connected to the head node.
