Code execution via manipulated library search path
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Uncontrolled library search in Adobe Photoshop 2024 25.12 and Photoshop 2025 26.1 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The application honors an attacker-manipulated search-path environment variable when resolving a library, loading malicious code from the substituted location. The attacker needs local access to alter the environment and must induce a victim to launch Photoshop; loaded code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
