CVE-2025-21120Network attack vector

Information exposure via trusted HTTP permission methods

Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Server-side HTTP method trust in Dell Avamar Server and Virtual Edition 19.8 through 19.10 allows remote authenticated users to expose information. The security component trusts HTTP permission methods when enforcing server-side authorization, but Dell has not disclosed the endpoint or code path that performs the incorrect check. A low-privileged account with remote access is required; Dell reports information exposure, while its vector also assigns integrity and availability impact.
