Local user impersonation via AUI access-token reuse
Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Access-token reuse in the Dell Avamar AUI 19.4 through 19.10 SP1 allows local users to impersonate another user. The AUI accepts an access token after its associated resource has expired or been released, allowing the token to retain another user's identity. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction; successful reuse grants the other user's AUI permissions without interrupting service.
