CVE-2025-21093

Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Privilege escalation in Intel Driver & Support Assistant before 24.6.49.8 allows local users to gain elevated privileges through a search-path flaw. Intel identifies an uncontrolled search-path element but has not published the affected executable, library, or lookup operation. Exploitation requires a local authenticated low-privileged user, user interaction, and a high-complexity condition; successful abuse compromises host data and availability.
