CVE-2025-21091Network attack vector

Resource exhaustion via undisclosed SNMP requests

Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Resource exhaustion in affected F5 BIG-IP 15.1.0 through 17.1 releases allows remote attackers to interrupt service via SNMP requests. F5 has not disclosed the request form or the specific SNMP processing locus that fails to release memory after handling the input. The condition is reachable only when SNMP v1 or v2c is disabled, and repeated requests increase memory consumption without reported data disclosure or modification.
