CVE-2025-2109Network attack vector

Unauthenticated internal-service disclosure via unrestricted init request

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Server-side request forgery in WP Compress through 6.30.15 allows remote attackers to query internal services through unauthenticated requests. The init() function accepts an attacker-controlled URL and sends a server-originated web request without restricting its destination. Any internet-reachable site with the plugin enabled exposes internal-service response data reachable by the WordPress server.
