Authenticated mobile-app crash via malformed post props
Published Jan 15, 2025 · Updated Jan 15, 2025
Improper input validation in Mattermost Mobile Apps 2.22.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the app via a malicious post. The vendor identifies post props as the validation locus but has not disclosed which prop type or rendering path triggers the crash. An attacker needs an account capable of publishing the crafted post; the documented consequence is interruption of a receiving mobile client.
