Insecure default configuration in USB mode on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Nov-2025 Release 1 allows physical attackers to access user data. The USB connection setting defaults to a mode that exposes device data instead of requiring a safer connection mode; Samsung has not disclosed the implementing component or validation path. Physical possession and user interaction are required, and the reported consequence is access to user data rather than service interruption.
